Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki (Kiitaro’s yokai picture diary) Bercerita tentang catatan harian visual pengalaman Kiitarou dengan Youkai. Dia adalah anak yang memiliki semangat yang tinggi, namun semuanya berubah ketika ia memasuki gudang terlarang, kemudian ia diusir dari rumahnya. Saat menemukan tempat tinggal baru, ia bertemu dengan seorang zashiki warashi (rumah roh) bernama Suzu. Dia dan Suzu segera mulai menarik semua jenis makhluk halus, dmulai dengan Nurikabe (muncul sebagai dinding yang menghalangi wisatawan) dan mokumokuren (muncul sebagai mata di dinding kertas sobek). Apakah jenis makhluk folkloric selanjutnya yang akan ia temui?
